WAXAHACHIE, TX

Birch, on behalf of United Surgical Partners International (USPI) in partnership with Baylor Scott & White Health, was pleased to lead the ground-up construction of the Weatherford Ambulatory Surgical Center—a 12,000 SF, best-in-class outpatient surgical facility purpose-built to expand access to high-quality, lower-cost surgical care in the nation’s fastest-growing metroplex.
Redefining regional outpatient care through advanced technology, clinical excellence, and patient-first design, the facility became the first of its kind in the Weatherford community. Conveniently located just 30 miles west of Fort Worth, the project enjoyed a prime position directly off I-20, offering high visibility, regional connectivity, and easy access across North Texas and the broader DFW region.
Designed by E4H Architecture, a national leader in healthcare environments, the center brought hospital-grade planning to a community-based setting—delivering efficient workflows, enhanced privacy, and dependable surgical outcomes typically only found in major medical campuses.
Thoughtfully designed with an unwavering focus on the patient experience, the single-story facility featured three advanced operating rooms, dedicated sterile processing suites, and private pre-operative and PACU recovery bays, each equipped to support clinical precision and a seamless patient journey.
Birch led an early, highly coordinated preconstruction program in close partnership with key trade partners to ensure full alignment on systems, budget, and timeline before breaking ground. Once construction was underway, Birch maintained tight schedule control through proactive sequencing and collaborative field management, ensuring consistent project momentum and schedule integrity for on-time delivery.
